Shavrov Sh-2 for X-Plane 10.31
By ddennin Civilian Fixed-Wing Aircraft before 1946
Shavrov Sh-2 was a 1930s amphibian design and the first Soviet mass produced flying boat. The small, wooden aircraft was a further development of the Sh-1, with a more powerful engine and increased size.
The Sh-2 could carry two crew members as well as one passenger and during wintertime, the aircraft could be equipped with skis. The small lower wing served as attachment for the stabilizing floats. It was a light, simple and reliable design.
The Shavrov Sh-2 was developed from the small amphibian Sh-1 prototype design and performed its first flight on November 11, 1930. The Sh-2 passed State Acceptance trials on June 12-17, 1934, without problems. Series productions was initiated on 1 April 1934, and ended two years later. However, due to its successful design and the popularity among its pilots, production was restarted in 1939. Total production was up to 700 aircraft, several hundred of those being built after 1939.[1]
The aircraft was in service until 1964 and set a number of records among flying boats and seaplanes.[citation needed]
On 28 August 1942, the Finns captured two such aircraft and passed them into their own service. There they were used in the liaison role, as well as carrying the Commander of the Finnish Air Force, until 1944. - wikipedia

Grumman G-21A Goose
By ddennin Payware Aircraft
Second free update. Added Turbo version of Goose, with two 680hp turboprop engines.
The G-21A eight-seat commercial amphibian flew for the first time in June 1937 and was Grumman's first aircraft produced for the private and commercial market. It proved outstandingly successful and 20 were delivered prior to 1 October 1938, when many more were on order. However most of the 350 or so aircraft built went into military service, the US Navy receiving initially JRF-1s and the US Coast Guard JRF-2s in 1939-40.
The model includes custom failure system, pop-up panels, custom sounds, etc. For more information and support please visit http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showforum=92

1933 Kalinin K-7
By ddennin Civilian Fixed-Wing Aircraft before 1946
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalinin_K-7
Kalinin K-7 (Russian: Калинин К-7) was a heavy experimental aircraft designed and tested in the Soviet Union in the early 1930s. K-7 was of unusual
configuration with twin booms and large underwing pods housing fixed landing gear and machine gun turrets. In the passenger version, seats were
arranged inside the 2.3 meter (7 ft 7 in) thick wings. The airframe was welded from KhMA chrome-molybdenum steel. The original design called for
six engines in the wing leading edge but when the projected loaded weight was exceeded, two more engines were added to the trailing edges of each
wing, one right and one left of the central passenger pod.
K-7 first flew on 11 August 1933. Then on 21 November 1933 the aircraft crashed due to structural failure of one of the tail booms, killing 14
people aboard and one on the ground. Although two more prototypes were ordered in 1933, the project was canceled in 1935 before they could be
completed.
